If the description is not important then how can a buyer file an "Item not as described" case? I think the description is THE most critical part of the listing, next would be clear photos.

I posted a black backbrace. Very detailed info with photos and listed it as open box. Someone asked if it had been worn after the box was opened. Since I listed it as open box. She also wanted to know if it was black like in the photos. I did not use stock photos. I low key hope she doesn't buy it. I can smell a return.

"Speed, not accuracy." NOT a good strategy; the PO is now looking for over-size/over-weight packages which they then ding you for, AND make a profit on. You will pay later for your haste. You never supply a description? I NEVER buy those listings; I figure the seller is trying to hide something, or simply doesn't know what he is selling.

Please explain to me how in the world you're shipping a Disney descendants doll for $3.12??????? I'm a professional seller on eBay doing way more business than you ($25,000.00 a month) and there is absolutely no way that I could ship ANYTHING that cheap. Not from any shipping provider with tracking. You're a super small seller compared to me, so please explain how you're getting better shipment rates than I am. I'm super curious.

Early on, I was a victim of those McDonald’s plushies. Found a bunch of them unopened for $2 a piece and thought I was going to retire early. 5 months later, they haven’t sold for $2 a piece and are rotting in my death pile :( Tough lesson learned

I just sold a book I bought because it read 50 made and was hand signed by a religious group leader who had no known signature according to the buyer. It was in relic condition and the estate sale proprietor said no charge for junk . It sold for $58,000 and was picked up by robed men in a limousine and they paid in cash.

I quit buying from my local Thrift stores because they started charging retail and sometimes higher prices. If people start charging ebay prices at garage sales, the may as well give it away because people will not buy!

I currently have 150ish items for sale, and while I was daily listing 5 or so items, sales were good. Now, I don't currently have anything to list, and my items are sitting with little to no views or sales. I understand I need to source, but until then, any advice to help boost views and sales? I currently use promoted listings, all buy it now with best offer, and price competivetly with quality photos. Some of my items have low STR, so that's understandable, but I am surprised to not even be getting views. Am I just in a slump?

Do you know how to bypass the listings that aren’t outside of my selected radius? Facebook shows me listings for things that are 50-100 miles away despite the settings, instead of showing me what’s recent and close by.

Okay, but the AI descriptions are absolutely ridiculous! It's generally flowery and redundant and not at all helpful. I advocate for templates - starting from a template saves loads of time.

I honestly think the AI descriptions turn a lot of buyers off for the same reason people don't like AI phone conversations. I would use the description to use your copy and pasted description of your free return policy 100% of the time unless there are some basic details to include (rare).

Funny thing happened to me with a partial refund was. I sold something but in the description I had put the wrong year. I actually sold it for a little bit cheaper than the other exact ones for sale. I mark the item a s sent but hadn't taken it to the post office, as I do my postal run in the afternoon. The buyer came at me with I tried to deceive him by saying it was vintage and that he should ask for full refund unless there's something I could do. So I cancelled his order and blocked him. Ad looking at his profile he was a seller in that niche. Cheers Graham

When you list an item buy it now do you always say best offer or do you not include best offer? Which do you find is more successful in selling the item. Would love and answer to this because sometimes I just feel that my price is so low that if I offer best offer I'm working for nothing. Thanks for a response, Linda

I use the Google pixel 6 and it's a 50MP, same as the new pixel 8. And I have noticed a small difference in clarity when I take the photos off app and then just add them later. It's also faster when listing multiple items. Just snap all your photos, draft all the items. Then put them together.

On underwear, eBay does not allow selling USED underwear, but you can sell used Base Layer. I'll leave the strategy to use up to others.

Hi Justin, I love your videos. As background, I started with eBay in 2004. In 2006 I was a power seller. I was selling very customized items, I started out with a few samples and every order I sent detailed pictures to the client. I received their acceptance and final payment before shipping. Any new shape , size, or color I took those detailed pictures and made a new listing. I soon had hundreds of sample listings. They were just guides of what I could make, Every order was made to order. This worked well because of constant communication. Live changed and I closed the business. Forward to 2023, I decided to become a reseller... I used sell similar. I did a lot of research before choosing a listing. Yes there were some errors and misinformation but other than occasional aggravation due to rewriting or making corrections it worked and saved time.

I gave up on selling ladies bags and purses after I bought a REALLY nice pebbled Dooney & Bourke bag for $20.00 at a garage sale (in perfect shape !) . It was listed FOREVER - I dropped the price every 6 months until It went to $40.00 and , It still DID NOT SELL ! So I had to give it away. I'm done with purses and bags. Even if I see them for a few bucks .

MAD magazines are commonly SAVED (I have my entire collection from the 1970s) . Most kids save their comic books, MAD magazines , Wacky Packages and Baseball Cards. They DON'T SAVE their TOYS . The price you got for your bundle was - BE VERY HAPPY with what you got . And don't get the idea to UP PAY for them next time around.... You kinda got lucky .

Just started watching you a couple of weeks ago. SUPER job, brah! Re: "if you have a day a really big day that goes well above what you normally sell" I've been selling 23 years on eBay and I've seen that happen with me dozens of times ever since 2016 when eBay started changing the servers to AI. In October 2016 my sales dropped by 50% LITERALLY overnight, and yes I know what that word means. Never came back. Doesn't matter what I sell, how many items I list. At within $100 of my 'hidden dollar limit' I see almost no more sales that month. There's a dollar limit eBay just won't let me break. Once I get close to it, BAM! zero to very little sales for days. Doesn't matter what month, season or date of the month it is. Every time I mentioned it to anyone in 'eBay world' they told me it was a 'conspiracy' all in my head. But I know it's a fact, at least for me. So I"m SO glad to hear another seller saying they've seen that pattern. Thanks.

You have a very INCORRECT STATEMENT about LISTING. The best way to list is to use RELIST. Not sell similar. Use RELIST option whether it's same item or not. That is if you want to sell!!!

I relisted 20 items recently and 3 of the items sold right away. I also fill in item info as much as I can but for stuff that doesnt apply I just mark it as "NA" I buy a lot of clothing which is competitive so I do try to list many keywords of the style

I just had a buyer try and scam me recently using the exact tactics you describe in this video. I sold him a used polo shirt that was in great condition, and when he received it, he messages me about all the “flaws” the shirt had along with several photos. he then asked me to credit some money back to him because the shirt wasn’t up to his standards. I told him he needed to return the shirt within 30 days and I’d be happy to provide a refund. he never sent the shirt back to me, eBay closed the case based on the return window expiring, and now he is initiating a payment dispute with his bank about having to pay for the shirt. total scam artist. gives a bad name to all the great ebay buyers out there.

Hey Justin. I haven’t found anyone that can answer this Question. In my photos I would like to add a screenshot of the same item on Amazon to show the value that I am offering? It’s a strategy that I use on facebook marketplace with a lot of success/sales. Don’t want to get dinged for using this strategy.
